Validating Demand for a Local Bakery Ordering Concept

A small, locally owned bakery wanted to explore pre-orders and custom baked goods but was unsure if customers would actually use an online flow.

The Question

Would customers place orders in advance, and what level of detail would they expect in the ordering process?

Approach

Instead of building a full e-commerce experience, I designed a simple ordering and confirmation flow focused on clarity, pricing signals, and ease of use.

What Was Created

Lightweight ordering app
Confirmation and follow-up logic
Messaging that framed expectations clearly

Outcome

The bakery validated demand quickly and gained confidence in pricing and order structure without overbuilding or committing to a full platform.
